Sino-foreign cooperative education takes the form of foreign education institutions working with Chinese counterparts to establish educational facilities or projects in China, recruiting mainly Chinese students. It is a public welfare undertaking and part of China's education program. China encourages bilateral cooperation in the fields of higher and vocational education and the introduction of quality education resources abroad. It also encourages Chinese higher education institutions to join hands with well-known foreign institutions of higher learning.
