Suzhou Xujiang Experimental Middle School is directly under the Bureau of Education-run junior high school. It is located southwest of the ancient city, east of Tong Jing Road, south of Laodong Road, west of Xihuan Viaduct and the Grand Canal, north of Shuangyuan road, the traffic is very convenient. It covers an area of 52,388 square meters, with its construction area of 34,467 square meters.

The school is new, which began ground-breaking in July 2007 and completed in August 2008. On September 1, it is officially put into use. At present there are 7classes, including 261 students in Year 7 ; 8 classes, including 266 students in Year 8 and 8 classes, including 307 students in Year 9. Our school has a total of 93 serving teachers. In the next few years, there will be 3 grades, 48 classes in the school; the number of teachers will also be increasing.

The school boasts the best modern educational technology equipment in Suzhou. All teaching facilities are advanced and complete; every classroom is equipped with multimedia equipment. The school has 3 teaching buildings, 1 laboratory building, 1 information building, 1 art building, 1 Dining Center, 1 Health Education Center and 1 Seismic Exploration Center. There is also an Automotive Simulation Cab, a Studio, a Performance Hall, a Skating Center, a tennis court and a Graffiti Wall in our school.

The school pays great attention to foreign exchanges. Most of the English teachers have been to the UK and the USA for training. At present, our school has also founded sister schools with a secondary school in Switzerland a middle school in the USA.
