1.Jiangsu Party chief visits Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University

Luo Zhijun, the Party chief of Jiangsu province, visited Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJLU) in Suzhou on Oct 20, 2015.

XJLU, jointly founded by Xi'an Jiaotong University in China and the University of Liverpool in the UK, is an independent Sino-foreign cooperative university.

Luo encouraged the university to cultivate more international talents for Jiangsu and China.

So far, Jiangsu has 333 educational programs and organizations, ranking top in the country. Since the 12th Five-Year Plan (2011-2015), Jiangsu has cultivated more than 60,000 international talents.

2.Governor meets Jiangsu's model teachers

The then governor Li Xueyong met Jiangsu's model teachers in Nanjing on Sept 9, 2015, and expressed his desire for them to continue to be loyal, diligent and creative role models.

3.Jiangsu leads country in balanced development of compulsory education

Jiangsu passed the evaluation of balanced development of compulsory education on June 5, 2015, making it the first province in the country to pass the Ministry of Education's standard.
