4.Jiangsu excels in National Vocational Students Skills Competition
Jiangsu won a total of 128 prizes in the National Vocational Students Skills Competition held in Tianjin in July 2015, ranking first in the both junior and senior vocational categories.
5.Jiangsu launches 'Smart Education Projects'
Jiangsu announced the implementation of four "Smart Education Projects" featuring education environment upgrading, resource sharing, application integrating and talents training in March, 2015.
6.Jiangsu's education funds exceed 200 billion in 2014
Jiangsu's expenditure in education reached 208 billion yuan ($31.6 billion) in 2014, increased by 4.7 percent compared with 2013, according to statistics jointly released by the Ministry of Education, State Statistic Bureau and Ministry of Finance on Oct 9, 2015.
It was the first time that Jiangsu's education expenditure surpassed 200 billion yuan.
7.Jiangsu launches brand discipline construction project
Jiangsu launched 258 subjects in local universities and colleges for the first phase of a brand discipline construction project on June 8, 2015. It aimed to further boost Jiangsu's higher education with other key educational projects.
