An International Cooperation Conference on Yangtze River delta regional education has been held in Yangzhou on April 6 to discuss further development and cooperation on international education in Yangtze River Delta Regional area.

Deputy director of provincial education department Ding Xiaochang indicated that during the 12th Five-Year period Jiangsu has made new progress on international cooperative education, establishment of cooperative platforms and development scale of international students. All these have formed all-dimensional, multi-layered and wide-ranging opening pattern on education, said Ding.

He also put forward three advices for further development, including actively carrying out international cooperative education programs to improve quality of cooperative education, accelerating the implementation of international talents training and firmly implementing the “Overseas Study in Jiangsu” program to attract more overseas students.

Deputy director of international division of Ministry of Education Fang Jun said that the Yangtze area has been playing a leading role in international education and has made great progress in recent years. He also hoped that in the future the area will improve further.
