Among the 10 performances by students from the Jiangsu delegation, nine were awarded first prize in areas of vocal and instrumental music, and dance and drama, ranking first in the total number of medals of all national provinces and autonomous regions. Three Jiangsu research papers on art education and 12 works of art also won the national first prize.

During the event, a workshop was specially established to display students’ paper-cutting works which received positive comments from the public.

The six-day activity not only fully demonstrated the fruitful results of art education in primary and middle schools in Jiangsu but also reflects the lively and creative vitality of Chinese youth.

As a triennial event, the sixth session will be held in Suzhou, Jiangsu province in 2019.
