Jiangsu and LatAm to team up with campus football

A meeting was held to promote greater ties in campus football between Latin American countries and Jiangsu province, in Nanjing on June 23. In attendance were local education officials as well as representatives from universities in seven Latin American countries.

Zhu Weiguo, vice-chief of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education, briefed the guests about the development of campus football in Jiangsu and suggested to enhance cooperation on the field. He pledged to facilitate football talent exchange programs between the two sides.
Jiangsu province is keen to lure talented players and coaches from Latin America in order to improve China’s football prowess.
Zhu also called for long-term cooperation between government authorities and higher education institutions.
The meeting marked a new stage for exchanges and cooperation between Jiangsu and Latin American countries, according to the provincial education authority.
