Located in Huaian city in Jiangsu province, the College is a full-time ordinary institution for higher education with the sponsorship of Jiangsu Provincial People's Government and under the administration of province's education department.

The campus covers an area of 1,269 mu (846,004 square meters), with a floorage of about 280,000 sq m. It has more than 11,000 full-time students.

The College has a total of 45 disciplines in its five secondary schools of food and nutrition engineering, medicine and health management, hotel and tourism management, accounting & economics and trade, biological and chemical engineering and three departments, such as mechanical and electrical engineering, information engineering, humanities and social sciences.

There are 610 staff members, including 469 teachers. It has 496 part-time teachers, who also work in enterprises.

Among all the full-time teachers, 33 are professors, 141 are associate professors and about 300 have obtained master’s or higher degree and 35 hold doctoral degree.

Its three provincial research centers has undertaken four projects with sponsorship of national and provincial natural science foundations and won two prizes for provincial and ministerial science and technology progress.

The College has been working with colleges and universities in Canada, France, Britain, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan and other countries and regions to offer courses for students and won a good reputation.

In 2014, it organized the first forum for principals of Chinese and foreign higher vocational colleges, attracting heads of more than 20 famous vocational colleges from countries and regions such as Britain, France, Canada, Taiwan and Chinese mainland to attend.
