Luo Hongling, an official from the Nanjing Development Zone, introduced the students’ five and a half day stay at the place.

“By visiting leading enterprises, the students will get first-hand experience in production, technology, R&D, marketing, and quality control, as well having deeper exchanges with Chinese staff members,” she said.

Nanjing will make the international youth exchange program an annual event, inviting some 50 Chinese and overseas students to visit the city every year, providing internships and taking various field and cultural trips. The program will help the students to get a full picture of the city’s past and present, and enhance more common ground between Chinese and overseas youngsters.
