A group of 10 seasoned teachers from Yizheng in Jiangsu province set foot on an educational sharing journey to Northwest China’s Qinghai province from June 28 to 30.

With expertise in basic subjects such as mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology and geography, the teachers visited several primary and middle schools in Guinan county of Hainan Tibetan autonomous prefecture in Qinghai, where the educational levels are not up to standard.

By delivering various model classes, the Jiangsu delegation introduced their Qinghai colleagues to improve their student-teacher interactions during classes, by encouraging students to take the initiative while learning, by teaching them how to get into in-depth studies, and how to create a balance between classes which are student-oriented or teacher-centered.

Local teachers were greatly inspired from their Jiangsu partners, on one hand for them actively motivating the students, while on the other hand, for carrying out various experiments for the youngsters to explore, think and summarize.

“Their confidence in the students and their attitude toward science are enlightening and worth learning from,” one local teacher said.

Aside from advanced teaching methods, the Qinghai teachers were given directions to academic knowledge, including some novel and creative integrations of key knowledge points.

Teachers from Jiangsu and Qinghai found the educational sharing very fruitful. They were inspired from each other, and are looking forward to more of such exchanges in the future.
