Creative variations of Chinese characters beckoned in Nanjing, Jiangsu province as an exhibition displaying art works designed by both Chinese mainland and Taiwan college students opened on July 15.
The art pieces are the product of a summer camp that began on the campus of Nanjing University of The Arts on July 10.
Winning concerted efforts from the Ministry of Education, the Jiangsu provincial government, and Chinese mainland and Taiwan universities, the event is welcoming some 100 students from seven cross-Straits colleges, including National Taiwan Normal University and the China Academy of Art.
It is aimed at offering the students professional guidance, inspiring their creative designs, and converting their artistic ideas to cultural and practical products for daily life.
