A pioneer in cultivating talents in aviation, spaceflight and engineering areas, NUAA provides both Chinese and overseas students with various exchange and training programs.
To prepare for the recent competition, NUAA assessed international students majoring in aeronautical engineering, mechanical engineering and software engineering and selected two teams of six students each. Each team then selected a teacher for contest advice.
After the competition, instructor Ge Wang said that the program’s success depends on the students’ participation, the importance the school gives to the competitions, and the innovative thinking that arises from the teachers’ guidance. The program gives the students a chance to participate in mechanical, electronic and production components of engineering and at the same time helps them to recognize and apply scientific research methods in an innovative way.
NUAA’s approach also encourages the students to develop cross-cultural communication. The school supports international students by offering five majors in English and by providing integrated resources and a free exploration program supported by individual school students and a youth corps committee.
NUAA has five English-taught majors. It also provides a streamlined application process and allocates special funds for international students to provide them not only with practical activities but also content for scientific and technological innovative practice. The approach also supports the Belt and Road initiative by fostering professional knowledge and ability in international talents.
