Li Huajing, a reading doctor at Nanjing University, was among the participants. He is renowned for inventing Robobor, a type of micro-mouse robot which can be applied in industrial, medical, educational and service areas.

Though only fist-sized, the robot is widely acknowledged for its flexibility. Put in a 6-square-meter maze, the robot can find its way out easily and rapidly. This is due to the sophisticated artificial intelligence and accurate autonomous navigation that controls the robot and which, according to the inventor, has won 127 patents.

Li also runs his own company dedicated to turning inventions into practical use.

“I enjoy my inventions being gradually accepted by the public,” the young entrepreneur said.
