The Fandun Primary School in Tianquan Lake town, Xuyi county, is no different from other schools in Jiangsu province — a beautiful campus, energetic students and experienced teachers.
But there is something special about the remote rural school: It only has nine students and four teachers.
The four second-grade students have their own classroom, but the other five — one third-year and four fourth-grade students — attend classes and do daily activities in the same room.
