Jiangsu awards excellent vocational teachers

A select group of vocational teachers in Jiangsu province have been awarded titles as "Excellent Vocational Teacher" at a ceremony held in the capital city Nanjing on Sept 7.
The award was initiated by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education in response to increasing emphasis on vocational education. The event has been running consecutively for five years, with a total of 100 recipients so far.
A total of 20 teachers were awarded at this year’s ceremony, including 10 who earned the coveted “Excellent Vocational Teacher” titles and the others winning award nominations.
Five educational bureaus including the ones from Wuxi, Xuzhou and Yangzhou were also awarded for their excellent organizational structure.
