The teachers are vivid example of Jiangsu’s determination to develop the public educational system. A typical example is Wan Daihong, a teacher at the Yangzhou Tourism and Business Vocational School, who has won the hearts of numerous ethnic minority students, earning her the nickname “mother of Han ethnic group”. 

Ge Daokai, director-general of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education, extended his congratulation to the teachers and shared some moments that have greatly touched him. 

He said though coming from different backgrounds, the teachers had one thing in common and that is their dedication to their careers, their impact on the students, and their thoughtfulness to cover every detail.
