Nanjing popular among Jiangsu college graduates

According to statistics from the Jiangsu college student employment service center, the East China province has won increasing favor from local college graduates, with its capital city of Nanjing being the most popular working destination.
Graduates from Jiangsu colleges reached 313,000 in 2017, with 217,000 of them choosing to work directly after graduation.
Nanjing enterprises offered the most jobs with 47,000 employment opportunities to 21.75 percent of the total graduates, surpassing those from Shanghai (15,000), Zhejiang (7,400) and Guangdong (4,800).
The provincial capital has also recorded a net talent inflow. The number of graduates with family ties to Nanjing was 12,000 in 2017, almost one fourth of those choosing to stay in the city.
Nanjing is increasingly becoming popular with local college graduates as statistics in 2015 and 2016 showed that among the 219,000 and 210,000 local graduates, 46,000 and 45,000 of them respectively chose to start their careers in the city.
