Yangtze River Delta schools focus on campus culture

The annual forum for principals of primary and middle schools in China’s Yangtze River Delta region got underway in Suzhou, Jiangsu province on Sept 26-28.
More than 400 principals from Shanghai and provinces including Zhejiang, Anhui, Jiangsu, Henan, Shandong, Fujian and Hunan attended the forum and delved into the value and meaning of developing a diverse and vibrant campus culture.

Xu Zimin, an education official from Jiangsu, shared his inspiration with the forum and said he looked forward to building a more education-friendly society in the Yangtze River Delta region.
He said the efforts to improve campus culture should be rooted in enhancing the region’s elementary education, deepening curriculum reform, and promoting the individual development of every student.
“We are always endeavoring to build an education-focused society with every province giving full play to their potential and living in great harmony,” Xu said.
