Song Jinzhu and Mei Le, two student representatives from Fengyu, also put on an impromptu show displaying their exquisite paper-cutting skills, creating cutouts of owls, angels and Christmas trees.
They even invited their Norwegian partners to try their hands at making a cutout of the Chinese character “春” (spring), which is a popular design for beginner paper cutters in China due to its symmetrical structure and positive connotations.
