'Iron rice bowl' is story from the past; Jiangsu graduates now prefer self-development

“Employment is the most important and efficient way to improve people’s livelihood,” said Wang Jiang, vice-governor of Jiangsu.
The official, who partook in the job fair this time, was satisfied with so many graduates and enterprises attending the fair and creating an ever-welcoming job environment.
He spoke highly of the monitoring and analysis platform for employment data, which describes the employment situations in Jiangsu, such as the most desired job opportunities and cities and the satisfaction degree of graduates.
As a province with traditional strength in education, Jiangsu has been endeavoring to create a more welcoming job environment for graduates in recent years.
The provincial employment information service platform for college graduates, the first of its kind in China, enables graduates to get real-time job information published by all Jiangsu colleges, and is just one of the down-to-earth efforts Jiangsu has made.
“In the future, we will work harder to make our efforts for graduate job seeking productive at more ground levels,” the official said.
