Lin Yue, head of the division for international cooperation and exchange at Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education, said that “TSP is a dynamic integration between academic programs and targeted students”.

His further introduction to the program’s implementation and application struck a chord among representatives from Jiangsu colleges and overseas education agencies and even attracted some of them to share their excitement.

“Education should be open and accessible, because only in this case will we build a successful world,” said Diana Ornatskaia, head of China Groups LLC, a Russia-based company focusing on helping students seek studying opportunities in China.

She also suggested several ideas to improve and perfect the program and encouraged a mutual surveillance system, such as providing frequent feedback from local colleges, foreign education agencies and the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education.

Just as President Xi Jinping proposed back in 2012, Jiangsu, along with the rest of China, is developing into a welcoming land for overseas talents. It is hoped that through the successful application of schemes such as the TSP, that Jiangsu institutions can carry their momentum forward as world-class educators.
