Wuxi to open new school for overseas Chinese

A new international school will be opened in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province, according to a press conference held on March 29.
Overseas Chinese Academy of Chiway Wuxi will be located in the city's Xinwu district. The school plans to open its elementary department and the first grade of its junior middle department this September. The new school is funded by Chiway Group, which also funded Overseas Chinese Academy Suzhou.
Covering an area of 25,232 square meters, all the school buildings were built with eco-friendly construction materials to create a healthy and comfortable learning environment.
Overseas Chinese Academy of Chiway Wuxi cost a total of 300 million yuan ($47.9 million) to build, and it will provide nine years of education from primary school to junior high school.

Designed for children of overseas Chinese who have returned to China, as well as children who aim to study overseas in the future, the school will provide a dual language, multi-cultural learning environment with first-class teaching facilities for students.
Like Overseas Chinese Academy Suzhou, the school is a candidate for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Program / Diploma Program and is currently pursuing authorization as an IB World School.
