Suzhou provides free online education for students

An online education platform is providing free high-quality online courses to 30 primary and secondary schools in Suzhou, Jiangsu province, according to the city's education bureau.
To promote the sharing of high-quality education resources, the platform has invited famous local teachers to provide four kinds of free services online: teaching courses, answering questions, online broadcasting and teaching behavior data analyzing.
Students can enter the platform through personal computers, cellphones and tablet computers with accounts and passwords provided.

Curriculums for all grades and disciplines are available for teachers, students and parents. During the live broadcasts, students can also interact with teachers by sending words, pictures, voices and short videos.
Students can click to achieve an immediate communication during a live class. "To my surprise, online classes can give high-quality lessons to my daughter. The class on squares solution math last weekend went well," said Zhu Minghua, whose daughter is a new student at Suzhou Jinchang Experimental Middle School.
There are 28,151 videos for 22 courses available on the platform, including Chinese, English, Health and Science, with nearly 60,000 views. Skilled teachers have broadcast 308 courses live to over 70,000 viewers.
The platform is expected to be promoted in Suzhou's industrial area by the end of this year. It will be introduced across the city from 2019 to give more students high-quality education, according to the education bureau.
