Li Qian, a first-grade math teacher, was captured by her colleague on Aug 29, three days prior to the start of the new semester.
She was busy writing congratulations and wishes to her students, and had no idea of when the infant lying on her shoulder had fallen asleep.
Netizens were touched by her dedication to work, while the teacher, who has joined the faculty team for three years, held a humble attitude and said "it was not a big deal".
"The new semester is coming and our classroom requires cleaning, I have to go," Li said.
She shouldered the burden of balancing work and taking care of her child, rather than complaining about not getting enough help from her husband, an architect who is always busy at different construction sites.
Li reflected the devotion and professionalism of local teachers and set a positive tone for the new semester.
