Private companies expressed urgent demand for seasoned hands in emerging industries of intelligent manufacturing, life science and technology, internet security, big data and new energy.

Inspur, a company with expertise in cloud computing, asked for over 180 software and big data analysis candidates on the day. The company offered an average of 10,000 yuan per month, a year-end bonus of 30,000 yuan, and an annual salary increase of over 30 percent.

Li Chen from the company said the number of graduates meeting their needs was poor, stating that most of them still kept a close eye on job opportunities in first-tier cities like Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou.

"Actually the industries in Wuxi and Suzhou, cities in South Jiangsu, are also promising," Li said.

The conference organizer said the talent gap lied in the rapid development of local companies and the number of qualified students graduated every year. A subsequent online job fair will open soon, and it will last for a month to continue the fever.
