East China's Jiangsu province commended a group of college teachers on Sept 7, praising their dedication and celebrating the 34th National Teacher's Day three days later.

Twenty teachers from universities and colleges across the province won the honorary titles, including professor Sun Wei from the Southeast University, who has engaged in the civil engineering industry for 60 years, and 54-year-old Zhang Xiaoming from Nanjing Institute of Industry Technology, an active figure at sharing knowledge and cultivating young teachers in Tibet.

Wang Chengbin, deputy director-general of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education, extended congratulations and paid respect to the teachers, saying the love and responsibility held in their hearts have helped them become the esteemed teachers they are today.

Jiangsu province announces such commendations for teachers every year. Since 2014, the awards have focused on teachers at rural schools, special education institutions, kindergartens, and vocational education institutions.
