Jiangsu, Russia seek interests in private higher education

Private higher learning institutions from China and Russia are set to seek cooperation, represented by the Taihu University of Wuxi and the Russian New University signing an agreement in Wuxi, Jiangsu province on Sept 17.
The two schools are going to set up a China-Russia Private University Alliance, a key move for them to share quality educational resources and seek more common interests in international cooperation.
Vladimir Zernov, rector of the Russian New University, prioritized the establishment of educational ties with China and said the current cooperation would infuse vitality to the two schools conducting more academic and talent exchanges.
The Taihu University of Wuxi and the Russian New University led the development of non-governmental higher education in respective countries. The former offers comprehensive education on industry, finance, art, and medical science, while the latter, with a history of 27 years, made efforts to create an open atmosphere with roughly 1,000 international students currently studying at the campus.
