Hanjiang's efforts and achievements were eye-catching. Since the beginning of this year, the district has seen its nine middle schools motivating over 7,300 students and teachers to embark on creative and inspiring trips to the 10th Jiangsu Horticulture Expo, Slender West Lake Scenic Area, and the site of the 2016 G20 Summit in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province.
"Traveling, living, and eating in groups is a novel experience for students," said Jiang Yongjun, principal of the Hanjiang Experimental School.
Eighth-grade students from the school made a trip to the 10th Jiangsu Horticulture Expo last month. They also made their own reports after the trip, answering questions about the features of different city exhibition halls and their impressions of the expo.
Going forward, Hanjiang will maintain its momentum and find more ways to improve the learn-through-travel scheme.
