'Rubbing' an auspicious Winter Solstice

A pupil from Suzhou, Jiangsu province shows her inscription rubbing of fu, a Chinese character embodying the auspicious meaning of fortune and good luck, on Dec 19. As the local tradition, the handicraft will be sent to seniors in her family to celebrate the Winter Solstice, one of the 24 solar terms of the Chinese calendar which will start on Dec 22 this year.
