East China's Jiangsu province and Northwest China's Ningxia Hui autonomous region signed a strategic agreement on educational cooperation in Yinchuan, Ningxia, on Sept 6. 

The agreement announces the two sides' cooperation in seven areas, including basic, vocational and higher education, as well as creating an internet-based and more open educational climate. 

The agreement also highlights exchanges between faculty members and school officials, while also proposing more frequent educational activities, aiming to achieve mutual and balanced development between the two sides. 

It also explores the possibility of primary and middle schools, vocational schools and higher learning institutions in Jiangsu offering one-to-one educational support to their counterparts in Ningxia.
