The Fifth Chinese Conference on Intelligent Technology and Big Data took place at Jiangsu University of Technology in Changzhou, Jiangsu province on Sept 28-29.
The event gathered over 300 experts, scholars and professionals from artificial intelligence associations at the national and provincial level.
Zhang Junping, a professor at the prestigious Fudan University, said that 2019 saw the opening a new chapter in the development of artificial intelligence (AI), as the technology has finally moved out of the laboratory and onto the market. People will soon start reaping the benefits of this emerging industry.
Experts also shared their inspirations in developing AI, discussing the latest academic results and development trends in intelligent services and big data and digging into the development possibilities of several key technologies.
Experts said China is leading the world in AI development and has surpassed its international competitors when it comes to automated driving, machine vision and voice recognition.
In recent years, Jiangsu University of Technology has been strengthening its advantages in intelligent manufacturing, green manufacturing, and big data analysis and application. It hopes to boost AI development in Jiangsu and the Yangtze River Delta region.
