Southeast University, Huawei to strengthen cooperation

Ren Zhengfei, founder and CEO of Chinese tech giant Huawei, recently paid a visit to Southeast University (SEU) in Nanjing, East China's Jiangsu province, according to local media reports.
Ren learned about SEU's development plans and talent programs in recent years and said he appreciated SEU teachers' commitment to their studies in the face of hardship.
"If SEU is a beacon, then teachers are the sparks who light the path forward for students," Ren said.
Zhang Guangjun, president of SEU, suggested the two sides strengthen cooperation by focusing on cultivating leading talent and carrying out joint scientific research.
SEU and Huawei have been close partners for over 20 years. The two sides agreed to deepen cooperation in November 2018 and established their first joint laboratory for wireless telecommunications in July 2019.
