The 11th Challenge Cup Jiangsu College Student Entrepreneurship Competition concluded at the Huaiyin Institute of Technology in Huai'an city, Jiangsu province on Sept 5, local media reported.
The competition is the most influential and longest-running event of its kind in Jiangsu and has become an important platform for the exploration and cultivation of innovative and entrepreneurial talent.
A total of 339 works from 138 universities made it to the provincial-level finals from Sept 1 to 5, and 80 works won gold awards of the competition. Seventy-seven of the works will move onto the national competition, a record high amount.
The closing ceremony was aired live via Sino Weibo, a Chinese micro blogging website, and Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok, and received more than 600,000 views.
A flexible medical consultancy system developed by the China University of Mining and Technology and a Chinese herb decocting machine developed by Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine using 3D printing technology made their debuts at the ceremony.
Song Yuming, the lead judge, said he was impressed by the quality of the works. Officials attending the closing ceremony also commended the students and their works.
