Students take a close look at an ancient utensil preserved at Nantong Museum. The museum, though little known to many Chinese people, was the first public museum established in China in 1905. It was set on the banks of Nantong's Haohe River and founded by Zhang Jian (1853-1926), nicknamed the "King of Nantong", a patriotic entrepreneur, politician and educator. [Photo/jschina.com.cn]
