The service center for international talents in Nanjing was unveiled on Sept 29, local media reported.
The center, a reflection of Nanjing's efforts in recent years to create a more open and welcoming environment, aims to provide targeted services to foreign talent and meet their diverse needs.
Twelve foreigners were awarded honorary titles as the city's friendship ambassadors in promoting urban internationalization at the unveiling ceremony.
Nanjing, capital of East China's Jiangsu province, has been working to bolster its international image as of late. Its ranking moved up seven places to 87th among domestic cities on the 2020 World Cities List. It was also recently recognized as an international professional financial center city for the first time.
Nanjing is planning to set up more talent service centers and incubation bases overseas and promote more frequent exchange with overseas talent.
