A total of 15 foreigners from eight countries including Japan, Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom won the honorary title of 2020 Envoy of Friendship with Jiangsu People in Nanjing on Nov 19, local media reported.

The province has given the title to 36 foreigners in previous years.

The award ceremony was organized by the Jiangsu People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries.

One foreigner gave full play to his role in the political circle and was active in establishing sister city ties and promoting diversified exchanges. One foreigner has deep roots in marketing and was dedicated to economic transformation and upgrading in Jiangsu. A foreigner used his camera to record Jiangsu and hoped international viewers can get to know the province's real side; and a foreigner was devoted to developing social well-being and has been active in attending public benefit activities.
