The 12th Yangtze River Delta Education Integration Development Conference was held in Suzhou, Jiangsu province on Nov 26, local media reported.

The event saw education departments from Shanghai and provinces of Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui signing a new-round action plan for the coordinated development of educational integration in the Yangtze River Delta (YRD) region from 2021 to 2023.

The conference focused on making solid progress in educational integration in the YRD region by expanding regional cooperation, seeking integrated development, and building up quality and comprehensive education system, so as to shape the YRD region into a leader in global education.

Attendees to the event agreed on the idea that education should lead the way in YRD integration and efforts should be made in detailed aspects concerning moral education, vocational education, and higher learning education.

An official from Jiangsu said the province will always be ready to contribute its experience and strength and hoped that all the YRD participants can play their role and make concerted efforts to advance educational integration steadily.
