Jiangsu University in Zhenjiang, Jiangsu province recently signed a memorandum of understanding with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) online, local media outlets reported.

The two sides will work together to promote multinational scientific research, organize academic meetings, and offer student internships at international organizations.

Yan Xiaohong, president of Jiangsu University, said the school was a talent training base of UNIDO during the 1980s and 90s. She said the MOU honored the two sides' previous ties and will expand cooperation to include training related to agricultural machinery, food processing, and security, as well as practical training at international organizations.

Over 150 officials, experts, and enterprise representatives from home and abroad witnessed the signing of the MOU.

During the event, Jiangsu University also unveiled its international talent practical training base for school-enterprise cooperation and announced cooperation with 23 companies.

Jiangsu Yueda Investment Co was among the 23 companies. CEO Wang Shengjie said the company has set up a joint research institute with Jiangsu University focusing on the digital and intelligent development of agricultural equipment, and their products have been sold to over 40 countries and regions, more than any other similar company in China.
