Jiangsu, CSSC to bolster JUST's shipbuilding discipline

The Jiangsu Provincial Government and China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited (CSSC) recently signed a strategic cooperative agreement to bolster the discipline advantage in shipbuilding of Jiangsu University of Science and Technology (JUST).
According to the agreement, the two sides will strive to develop JUST into a leading school with expertise in shipbuilding and oceanography engineering, while also continuing to offer targeted support on policies, funding, and projects.
CSSC will make full of its industrial and resource advantages to help JUST join in the construction of a national innovative platform on deep sea and polar regions, set up its independent labs and other joint labs, as well as promote cooperation with national labs.
The enterprise will also team up with JUST in the research and development of key technologies, incubate more sci-tech results, as well as boost the establishment of key projects and university disciplines.
The cooperation between Jiangsu and CSSC has set a positive tone for JUST to better serve the shipbuilding industry, as well as local economic and social development.
The school will continue to strengthen its disciplinary, talent, and innovative ties with the shipbuilding industry and local development, support the marine economy, as well as the transformation and upgrading of naval architecture and ocean engineering, while also adhering to the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta region.
