As the first higher learning institution in Kunshan, Silicon Lake College has led other colleges in Jiangsu province in graduate employment rate in recent years, reaching 96.46 percent in 2020.

The result was greatly bolstered by the school's close connections with enterprises like InterContinental Hotels Group and Bozhon Precision Industry Technology Co.

The school has teamed with Bozhon for nearly 10 years and more than 60 of its graduates have worked in the company for over two years.

Chen Cheng, a 2014 graduate and now director of the delivery department of Bozhon, said that the customized cultivation plan rolled out by the two sides has helped him adapt to the company in a short time and get promoted.

Wang Hao, a 2020 graduate, was able to find a job at Joyvie, a car decoration company, amid the severe employment situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Wang had an advantage due to having an active role in Joyvie's on-campus store since last May, where he learned about the real business environment, market needs, and practical operation machines.

"I'm looking forward to my future as I might be promoted to a technician or a store manager," Wang said.

Zhang Mingyu, director of the on-campus store, said that the car beauty business has been growing in popularity in recent years, with professional car beauticians in urgent need.

"The cooperation between Joyvie and Silicon Lake College answers the market need and we will continue to cultivate more professionals," Zhang said.
