Over 500 students and teachers from Nanjing, Jiangsu province spent a day immersing themselves in local intangible cultural heritage on May 11.

Each participant tried their hands at two crafts, such as dough modeling, tie dye, colored-lantern making, paper-cutting, clay sculpting, bamboo carving, gourd painting, paper flowers, and Yunjin brocade, a traditional weaving technique that originated in the Eastern Jin Dynasty (317-420) and represents the pinnacle of ancient Chinese brocade.

The activity was organized by the Nanjing Museum Administration and carried out by Gan's Grand Courtyard and the Lhasa Road Primary School.
