An artificial intelligence teaching team from the College of Information Engineering, Yangzhou University gave an online class on communication technology to students in mountainous areas in Liupanshui, Guizhou province on Sept 10.

Pei Yuanpeng, one of lecturers on the team, gave an overview of the development and transformation of communication modes from ancient times to the present to the students by showing photos and videos.

"I am proud of having the opportunity to introduce technology to children in rural mountainous areas, so I have fully prepared for the class," Pei said.

"What impressed me the most was the children's desire for science and technology education, which has strengthened my faith to spread the development of science and technology as a university student," Pei added.

The other two lecturers, Zhu Chengzhang, and Ma Yuxin, taught lessons on "the development from 2G to 5G" and "the future development of information technology".

In the following class, the children were asked to draw future sci-tech products based on their imagination, as well as shared their thoughts and drawings with each other.
