The 7th China International College Students' Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was held in Nanchang University in Jiangxi province from Oct 12 to Oct 15.

Universities and colleges from Jiangsu province topped the medal rankings with their combined total of 45 gold medals, reflecting the province's strong competitiveness in the education and practice of innovation and entrepreneurship.

The 45 gold medals were awarded to 22 universities and colleges, including 10 higher vocational colleges, in Jiangsu. Nanjing Forestry University won five gold medals.

A total of 67 projects from universities and colleges like the Southeast University were awarded silver medals while 45 projects from universities and colleges like the Jiangsu Normal University were awarded bronze medals.

The China International College Students' Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition has been held every year since 2015.

This year's edition received global attention and participation, with a total of 4,347 universities and colleges from 121 countries and regions participating in the competition.

A total of 97,400 teams from 146 universities and colleges across the province, including 73 vocational colleges, attended this year's competition.
