The new campus of the prestigious Nanjing University in Suzhou New District has recently updated its construction process and released several design sketches.

The No 6 and No 9 buildings of Nanjing University's Suzhou campus were roofed days ago, which means that all of the teaching buildings, dormitories, as well as canteens in the eastern part of the campus have been topped.

The main parts of the No 7 and No 8 buildings have also passed acceptance checks, while construction on the secondary structure, electromechanical equipment, curtains, as well as model rooms of the No 6 and No 9 buildings is underway.

Construction on the main part of the academic exchange center has been completed, while its steel structure, curtains, and electromechanical equipment are currently under construction.

The main parts of dormitories have as well passed acceptance checks, while the painting of interior walls, the coating of exterior walls, the installment of equipment and curtains, as well as the construction of model rooms are currently ongoing.

Work on the scientific innovation center started in early November with its pile foundation currently being constructed.

A series of design sketches featuring a landscape avenue, a riverside scenery zone, and ornamental ancient-style buildings were also published, furthering public anticipation for the opening of the new campus next September.
