The Nanjing University of Posts and Communications in Nanjing, East China's Jiangsu province is planning to set up two new schools - the School of Integrated Circuit Science and Engineering, and the School of Chemistry and Life Science - to improve its disciplinary structure.

The School of Integrated Circuit Science and Engineering will focus on three fields including advanced packaging as well as micro- and nano-electromechanical systems. It is expected to enhance cross-disciplinary integration, make key technological breakthroughs and explore new ways of training innovative talents.

The School of Chemistry and Life Science will focus on subjects like organic and biophotonic materials, sensing and imaging technologies, as well as biomedical treatment.
