Students from Silicon Lake College in Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu province recently won third place at the SCET-Silicon Alliance Pitch Contest with their WiSense radio frequency sensing technology.
Hosted by the Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology (SCET), the contest took place at the University of California's Berkley campus. It is catered toward students at the University of California and international teams working on early-stage projects. More than 80 teams signed up for the event and showcased their projects related to sectors such as health technology, design, and big data.
The project by Team WiTagg from Silicon Lake College is a Wisense RF sensing technology that combines a smart antenna array, advanced digital signal processing algorithms, and machine learning to deliver high accuracy positioning and wireless sensing capabilities for many applications.
This March, Silicon Lake College and the SCET established a partnership on entrepreneurship education and online learning.
