Yangzhou University in Yangzhou, East China's Jiangsu province held its seventh International Young Scholars Forum from Dec 24 to 26 to accelerate its efforts in attracting overseas talent.

Over 200 young scholars from 106 universities and research institutes such as Harvard and the Max Planck Institutes from more than 20 countries attended the forum online or in person. Those physically present also got to visit the Yangzhou Innovation Center and Yangzhou Talent Park. Each school of Yangzhou University also held a subforum to discuss the pertinent issues in their respective fields.

Yao Guanxin, Party chief of the university, said in his speech that Yangzhou University would create a better work environment and offer higher salaries to help young scholars develop their careers.
