The award ceremony of the China-Spain 2022 Chinese New Year greeting card design competition was held online on March 25.
About 30 students, teachers and principals from primary and middle schools in Changzhou, East China's Jiangsu province and Andalusia, Spain attended the event. Organizers of the competition announced the winners and displayed their works.
The contest helped youths in Andalusia enhance their understanding of Chinese culture and improve their Chinese, said Carmen, foreign director of Confucius Classes, an educational and cultural promotion program launched by Changzhou University. She also hopes to expand cooperation with the university and hold more activities.
He Yanfeng, head of the International Office of Changzhou University, said the design competition has strengthened the friendship between youths in Changzhou and Andalusia and he hopes they could visit one another after the pandemic ends.
Organized by Changzhou University, the overseas Chinese affairs office of Changzhou, Changzhou bureau of education, and the Andalusia department of education, the design competition saw the participation of over 2,000 students and teachers from 47 schools in China and Spain.
