Jiangsu's first educational supervision regulation takes effect
The first provincial-level educational supervision regulation in East China's Jiangsu province took effect on April 1.
The regulation is aimed at promoting the high-quality development of the province's education.
According to the regulation, all local governments above the county level in Jiangsu should set up a supervisory committee to guide government departments and schools within their jurisdiction to abide by the country's education laws, and conduct evaluations on the quality of local education.
In addition, there should be at least one superintendent supervising every five schools and for every 800 to 1,000 teachers.
