Ten international students at the Jiangsu Vocational College of Medicine, which is located in Yancheng, East China's Jiangsu province, watched a live stream of the Andersen's Fairy Tales Amusement Park in the city on July 2.

The students, who are from different countries including Indonesia, Pakistan, Cambodia and Vietnam, learned about rides in the park, the life of Hans Christian Andersen, a Danish author best known for his collection of fairy tales, and Danish culture during the live stream.

They also posted contents about tourist attractions in Yancheng on their Facebook and Twitter pages.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the students have been taking online courses in their home countries, said Zhang Xun, who is responsible for international student affairs at the college. The livestreaming event was aimed at helping them learn more about Yancheng, Zhang added.

The Andersen's Fairy Tales Amusement Park was rated as a 4A-level scenic spot in December 2021. The park has held a variety of activities this year on important occasions, including the Spring Festival, Lantern Festival and Dragon Boat Festival, which have attracted more than 300,000 tourists, according to Wang Hu, a director of the amusement park.
